Job Title: SAP FICO Consultant
Location: Decatur, AL and Orangeburg, NY
Duration: 3 Months Contract + extendable
The position is in Decatur, Alabama and Orangeburg, New York (the individual would be traveling to both locations)
Job Description:
Support clients in the selection, implementation, support and training of SAP FICO module. This role uses consulting skills, business knowledge, and SAP solution expertise to effectively integrate SAP technology into the client's business environment in order to achieve client expected business results.
Job Responsibilities:
· Facilitate the implementation and support of SAP Financials and Controlling to enhance the clients business functionality and overall performance, while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction
· Configuration and testing of core FI/CO modules (GL, AP, AR)
· Experience with report writer and report painter
· Experience with product costing and material ledger
· Experience and knowledge of key integration points with FI/CO modules
· Responsible primarily for successful implementation of SAP, including providing functional expertise, guidance, presentation and instruction on SAP products to clients
· Acts as liaison with client for troubleshooting: investigates, analyzes and solves problems and maps client business requirements, processes and objective, develops necessary recommendations to satisfy clients' needs
· Must be willing to travel and work from client sites (Decatur, AL and Orangeburg, NY)
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree (Preferably in Finance/Accounting)
· CGA or CMA accounting designation (good to have)
· Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS standards
· Business knowledge and process design skills
· Ability to analyze problems and provide clear recommendations
· Strong organization skills
· Able to collaborate with clients and other team member and have a strong desire to excel
· Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
· Good interpersonal skills
· Must be able to work independently as well as a team player and can manage own workload
· Able to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
· Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision
· Must be an effective problem solver
Experience:
· Minimum 4 years of SAP FI/CO configuration experience (AR/AP/Credit/GL etc.)
· At least one full lifecycle SAP implementation experience (Project preparation till Go-live)
· Good experience with Order to cash processes (finished/raw goods)
· Good experience with Financial closure processes (year-end/quarter-end/month-end)
· Good experience with training end users at finance and controlling departments
· Good experience with financial processes of manufacturing companies.
