Position: SQL Server DBA with Oracle Database Exp.
Location: : Fort Washington, PA
Duration: 6+ months
- Must have SQL (primary) Oracle (secondary)
Minimum Requirements:
· BS Degree OR the equivalent combination of education, technical training, and work experience.
· Minimum 6-10 years experience supporting RDBMS in an enterprise environment
· Experience with data management and data processing flowcharting techniques
· Experience in designing complex, highly available RDBMS systems
· Familiarity with large scale MS SQL Server 2008 R2 and Oracle 10g and 11g
· Expertise with communications protocols such as SQLNET, JDBC, ODBC.
· Expertise with stored procedures, views, subqueries, data modeling
· Expertise in interfacing with carriers to manage circuit delivery, troubleshooting and migration
· Solid knowledge about TCP/IP, IP routing, VPN, Firewall, Security, data center design.
· Solid understanding of Storage and Operating Systems.
Desired Traits:
· Familiar with MySQL or Postgres or NoSQL systems
· Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups.
· Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules and priorities. The ability to socialize ideas, make recommendations and gather team consensus to move forward.
· Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels in the organization; develop procedural documentation; develop and conduct effective presentations; and effectively demonstrate products and solutions.
· Ability to connect new technology initiatives to cost savings and ROI calculations.
· Familiar with technical project management.
