Job Description:
Performance Tester will support efforts to validate the solution design by testing the application against performance requirements.
They will support the test leads by creating detailed performance test tasks for the work plan and providing accurate status of these tasks.
Develops detailed test plans and results artifacts.
The Performance Tester will identify and create detailed test cases and test scripts and map to appropriate requirements and design specifications.
The Performance Tester will have the following job responsibilities:
Performance Testing:
Establishes performance benchmarks for system and system components
Identifies test case scenarios/test cases/test scripts from Requirements and Design documents
Maps test cases to performance/system/integration requirements for appropriate testing coverage
Assists in creating test artifacts (plans, data, scripts) including identification, collection, and creation of test data
Executes test cases/runs to meet required execution targets to keep the project on schedule
Creates required data loads for each performance test run
Assists with building, shakeout testing and maintaining performance test environment
Uses test tools to design and execute load and performance tests against web applications and web services
Analyzes the data gathered from performance test runs with an eye towards application performance, availability, and capacity to ensure optimal user experience
Identify performance bottlenecks and work with development / technical architecture teams to resolve
Ability to conduct performance tuning in different categories: system, platform, application, etc.
Documents test results in test tools and validates test cases are complete for future releases
Identifies, records, and helps manage defects to resolution
Identifies and communicates any testing issues and/or risks to Test Leads
Determine and meet time estimates and schedules for performance/stress testing efforts
As time permits, works on automating the load testing scripts
Communicate effectively with architecture, design, and development teams to learn system and resolve defects
Willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed to execute test cases
Participate in Lessons Learned as appropriate

Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
Ability to learn very quickly and share knowledge with other team members
Comfortable working in a fast paced, quality conscious environment
Availability to work extended hours if needed for urgent support
