SAP Business Objects Developer

Location: Sacramento, CA

Duration:6+ months

Skills: Experience in the designing, architecting, implementation and supporting Business Objects Universes utilizing multiple data Sources.

Client is in need of an experienced contractor with the following skills and background to develop Business Objects Universes. We need a contract resource with experience working with Epic applications, infrastructure, testing, and implementation.  The contract position will be responsible for the following project tasks:  Design, architect and implement robust data universes to meet end user reporting requirements.

Contract Term:  The contract term begins immediately in January 2014, for a 6 months period.  During this period, January – April 2014 will be capital funds and April – June 2014 will be operating funds.  The capital period will consist of system analysis, build and testing, and the operating period will consist of training, conversion, final testing, build migration, implementation support and post go-live operational transition.

Hours: 40 hours per week unless written approval is provided by IT Epic Applications Projects Manager.

Requirements:

- Experience in creating reporting content using SAP Business Objects WebI, WebI Rich Client, DeskI and Crystal reports.  

- Experience in Installing/Upgrading SAP Business Objects preferred.

- Experience in distributing SAP Business Objects components.

- Knowledge and support of Software Development Life Cycle methodologies is necessary

- Experience with Epic clinical and reporting systems preferred.

- Knowledge of Managed Care preferred.

Responsibilities:

Provide technical expertise and consultation to UCDHS EMR Reporting Team.

Participate or lead meetings with stakeholders from finance, clinical, billing office, information systems, operations and reporting departments.  Document main points, issues and key decisions.

Validate technical plan and application build with key stakeholders.

Develop understanding of current system build and workflows to assist with system  design and development

Provide documentation and training to transfer knowledge and operational support to the EMR Reporting Team and Production Operations/Support staff.

Support go-live and implementation by providing technical support, troubleshoot issues and resolve system problems, provide updates to staff and administration on implementation status.
