Job Title: Data Analyst
Location: Columbus ,OH
Duration:12 months
DESCRIPTION:
• Experts in extracting components of SQL statements, analyzing business reports to determine what the true metrics are and ultimately driving to what data elements are used to create the metrics.
• Candidate will need to work with report owners to understand how the report was created and how data was collected
• Ability to analyze reports and understand underlying data elements
• Data Mapping & data lineage skills
• Candidate will need to reverse engineer report to data
Excellent MS Office skills - Expert of excel (functions like pivot tables, vlookups etc)
• Excellent understanding of RDBMS concepts
Experience using DB Query tools like Toad, SQL Assist, Business Objects, SAS etc is good
Experience working with meta data repository
• Experience analyzing Banking data
Knowing data structures such as Database, schema, tables, column as well as knowledge about data modeling concepts like fact versus dimension would be extremely beneficial.
