Role: Hadoop Solution Architect

Total Experience: 7 - 10 years

Location: Bentonville, AK

Duration: 1 year

Mandatory Technical Skills         

• Primary Skills:  Hadoop, Hive, Pig

1. Provides Subject Matter Expertise (SME) on Big Data and distributed computing  technologies including but not limited to Hadoop, Cassandra/HBase and MongoDB  

2. Formalizes requirements by heading meetings with business stakeholders, data owners, developers and operations engineers

Provides direction on process, methodology, tools and frameworks for building data pipelines, processing platform and analytics needs

3. Spearheads big data strategic initiatives and leads by example  

Possesses in-depth knowledge of Big Data implementation frameworks including but not limited to Pig, Hadoop Streaming, Cascading and Java Map/Reduce

4. Demonstrates strong familiarity with data visualization tools"

Secondary Skills: 

• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with strong presentation and facilitation skills

• Demonstrated ability to influence and consult (providing options with pros, cons and risks) while providing thought leadership to sponsors/stakeholders in solving business process and/or technical problems"
