Role: Hadoop/NoSQL Administrator

Total Experience: 7 - 10 years

Location: Bentonville, AK

Duration: 1 year

Mandatory Technical Skills

1. Provides hands-on expertise on deploying, managing and tuning Hadoop, HBase/Cassandra clusters Possesses in-depth knowledge of at least one of the Hadoop vendor distributions, versions, release contents and patches

2. Creates guidelines and processes for identifying and using hardware, storage and networking for various types of Big Data use cases

3. Creates OS level security policies for Hadoop and NoSQL datasets

4. Provides clarity on the performance of the cluster by deploying monitoring tools such as Nagios and Ganglia

5. Employes tools like Puppet or Chef for ease in spawning new clusters"

Secondary Skills: 

• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with strong presentation and facilitation skills

• Demonstrated ability to influence and consult (providing options with pros, cons and risks) while providing thought leadership to sponsors/stakeholders in solving business process and/or technical problems"
