Position: Dot Net Developer

Location: Boston-MA

Duration: Long Term

Note : Only GC , US citizen and EAD candidates willing to work on W2 basis .

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, enhance and maintain a C#/.NET/Excel based UI. Hands-on development of enterprise scale restful applications that support customer self-service, business to business and system to system integration utilizing established and emerging technologies; completing programming using languages and software products; designing and conducting tests.
• Contributing to application development by coordinating user requirements, schedules and activities, evaluating technical systems designs, contributing to team meetings, troubleshooting development and production issues across multiple environments and constructing software that meets requirements, promotes reuse, is cost effective, maintainable and highly performant.
• Recommending system solutions by comparing advantages of current development tools/methods vs. alternate solutions/technologies/methodology and working independently and/or with technical partners to design and document the technical specifications.
• Supporting product release activities (QA, deployment); participate in product installation & post install support.
• Updates professional knowledge by researching new internet technologies and software products, participating in educational/training opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining professional networks.
• Being receptive and enthusiastic towards accepting ownership for accomplishing new and challenging assignments and exploring opportunities to grow as a technology professional.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

·         Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline

·         3+ year(s) of business and/or systems experience required

·         Agile development experience a plus

·         3+ years in developing multi-tier web applications in C#/.NET

Skills and Knowledge:

·         Strong Programming & Debugging skills

·         Hands on experience with C#/.NET/VSTO building custom Excel Add-Ins using VSTO

·         Strong and proven experience using excel DOM (Domain Object Model)

·         Performance & Memory Profiling and Tuning

·         Manipulating large datasets within C#/Excel

·         XML parsing is a big plus

·         WPF (Windows Presentation Framework)

·         Familiarity with Java is helpful

·         Test Driven Development

·         Build Tools (Ant, Maven), Version Control Systems (Git, ClearCase), Click-Once deployment

·         Code Quality/Coverage Tools (Sonar, Jacocco, PMD/Checkstyle or equivalent) preferred

·         Managing multiple priorities in a dynamic agile environment

·         Strong written & oral communication and presentation skills

·         Motivated, self-directed, results oriented

·         Analytical & problem solving skills

·         Ability to work effectively in global team distributed across geographic locations:
          New England, and India
