Performance Tester Needed

Location: McLean, VA

Duration: 6 months +

Statement:

Plans, Design, and Develop performance workload distribution test models as per requirements or production transaction mix. Simulate number of concurrent users for load scenarios to determine response times and bottlenecks. Monitor system resources and collect metrics during the tests in order to determine the impact of load/stress testing on the infrastructure. Identify and document bottlenecks or delays. Communicate test results and collaborate with other teams to identify issues needing more analysis and specialized expertise. Responsible for understanding requirements, developing test plans, strong knowledge in performance testing life cycle, writing test cases and executing test cases (GUI and Back End/ DB), understanding of the data models, reporting to the test manager.  Communicating technical issues and needs to the tech lead and project teams. Strong knowledge about System to system simulation by web service requests.  Deliverables to include Performance test plan and results presentations, Performance test cases, and workload models

Critical Skills:

                       Demonstrated experience formulating Performance test strategies and design
                       Demonstrated experience establishing Performance workload scenarios
                       Ability to Lead complex projects and resolve technical scripting issues
                       Excellent analytical skills and problem solving skills
                      Ability to mentor others in technical design of performance scripting strategies
                       Ability to identify and resolve conflicts
                       Very strong in definition and design of performance scripting methods and tools
                       Very strong Database, Weblogic, Unix, Windows Operating system, and SQL background - SQL, UDB DB2
                       Strong verbal and written communications skills
                       Working knowledge of Technologies - JAVA, J2EE, Web Logic, C, C++, Java Script, HTML and XML
