Summary: The Systems Quality Assurance Analyst role is to execute tests that validate application and system performance according to specification(s). This includes writing test scripts, and tracking defects and corrections.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:
Microsoft Office Suites to include Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, and SQL Server.
Experience in defect tracking tool
Experience with Visual Studio 2012 and Team Foundation Server is required
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Develop and establish quality assurance measures and testing standards for new applications, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications.
• Follows the SDLC quality assurance standards and measures, and participates in the full SDLC as required.
• Applies analytical and problem solving skills to validate software development and information systems.
• Required to exhibit a full understanding of work and effectively communicates to peers through verbal and written means.
• Create and execute test scripts that validate application performance according to specifications.
• Ensure quality assurance standards embrace current technologies.
• Develop and execute tests that ensure applications meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues.
• Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in IT systems and projects across the organization.
• Collaborate with software/systems personnel in application testing
• Make recommendations for improvement of applications through the appropriate communication channels.
• Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management through the appropriate communication channels.
• Analyze documentation and technical specifications of any new application under deployment or consideration to determine its intended functionality.
• Analyze test results in order to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.
• Participate in developing, distributing, and coordinating in-depth end-user reviews for modified and new systems or applications.
• Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of quality assurance best practices.
• Reads and abides by the company’s code of conduct, ethics statements, employee handbook(s), policies and procedures and other corporate mandates, including participation in mandatory training programs.
• Reports any real or suspected violation of the corporate compliance program, company policies and procedures, harassment or other prohibited activities in accordance with the reporting policies of the company.
Qualifications:

• Experience Testing web applications
• Proficient in a variety of testing methodologies including Agile and Waterfall
• Experience with Medical Billing and ERP Systems is desired but not required
• Experience in analyzing already deployed applications.
• Experience with all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Knowledge of Privacy, Security Policies and Procedures for database access and electronic data interchange (EDI) compliance with data standards set out by Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and its associated rules
• Prior experience communicating with technical and business teams for insight on functionality, interface, problems, and/or usability issues.
• Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of Interdisciplinary teams.
• Hands-on experience developing test cases
• Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products.
• Highly self motivated and directed.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree from four-year College or University and 3 or more years of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
