Backend Ruby Programmer
Duration: 2-3 years contract
Location: Minneapolis MN

Job Responsibilities
Summary: Ruby Developer for our client. Help build deployment server for ourclient.com
Responsibilities/Deliverables that the resource will be responsible for:
* Developing
* Working in Paired Programming Environment
* Unit testing
* Quality Assurance of unit testing
* Deployments
* Work with infrastructure provisioning tools such as Chef and Vagrant
* Work with client/server models and queuing technologies (rabbitmq, redis, etc)
What would a normal day for this position look like??
* Heads down developing
* Collaboratively working with, reporting to, and taking direction from current Ruby Developer
* Status update meetings
The ideal candidate:
Is self-directed and shared collective ownership for design decisions
Uses the best tools for the job, be those open source or otherwise
Comfortable in a pair programming environment
Strong favors TDD and BDD development methodologies
Up to date with current tools and techniques
Comfortable working in an agile environment Comfortable working in an Apple MacBook development environment
Job Requirements
1. 5 + Years Ruby Developer Experience
2. PURE Ruby experience - Experience with Gem
3. Experience with Design Patterns
4. Client Server Communication
5. Object Oriented Programming
6. Continuous Integration
7. Experience Queuing Technologies
8. Deployment Automation
9. OpenStack - Bonus
10. AWS , or other Cloud Providers - Bonus
