Position: Technical Support Specialist(Locals Needed)
Location: Austin, TX
Duration: 5 Months Contract
Interview Type: Phone then In-Person Interview
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:
Install, configure and document Linux Servers with minimum supervision
Automate infrastructure installation, configuration, maintenance and change management processes utilizing various scripting languages/technologies (BASH, Puppet, Chef, Ansible)
Provide daily Linux operational environment monitoring and troubleshooting including log inspection and alert response
Assist in implementing company disaster recovery responsibilities and procedures
Design, build and maintain various agency external and internal websites using technologies such as HTML, PHP, XML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, MySQL and a content management system (CMS)
Multi-task in an agile, changing operating environment while providing timely project/task updates
Must demonstrate a professional, courteous approach to any end-user interactions and be able to communicate issues and resolutions in a clear, non-technical manner
Provides some desktop and telephone support to company staff and remote users
Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:

| 5 | Experience with Standards-compliant web development utilizing PHP |
| 3 | Experience with Standards-compliant web development utilizing JavaScript, jQuery |
| 5 | Experience with Standards-compliant web development utilizing HTML, CSS |
| 4 | Advanced experience installing, configuring and maintaining Apache/MySQL/PHP services in a Linux environment (LAMP) |
| 4 | Experience implementing, maintaining and performance tuning Linux Server systems including the configuration of SSHD, FTPD, Sendmail/Postfix, NTP, file system permissions, and monitoring tools (Nagios, Zenoss, OpenNMS)

| 4 | Experience utilizing a PHP Framework such as Symfony, Zend, CodeIgniter or Laravel
|
| 4 | Experience with intermediate relational database systems administration (e.g. Microsoft SQL, MySQL, Oracle) including entity creation (e.g. instances, databases, tables), SQL query/stored procedures/function design, general server maintenance and backup/recovery operations |
| 4 | Production website development utilizing HTML/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, AJAX, JQuery and a content management system (CMS) (e.g. Drupal, WordPress, ExpressionEngine, Joomla, Plone)

| 3 | Experience utilizing a mainstream source control system (e.g. CVS, Subversion, GIT) |
| 2 | Technical requirements gathering and documentation experience |
