Summary
The Senior Database Developer is a role within a Data Architecture and Database Services group. This person will be responsible for Design & Development of database components on one or more concurrent development projects.  The position involves working closely with Data Architects, analysts and Database Developers and business users on a variety of Fidelity applications. The role involves participation in following key areas:

• Designing high quality and robust data access layers, which includes the design specification of the Stored Procedures and/or Web Services detailed within Systems Design Specifications (SDS) and Technical System Specification (TSD) phases.
• Standards based development methodology.
• Participate & contribute in systems design sessions and contribute to Technical System Specifications (TSD) documents for the database components.
• Assist Lead Database Developers Physical Database Designs.
• Provide coding and environment support for Database Development team.

The position requires an individual who can work independently and multi-task across several projects. This person must be able to work with a variety of database resources of varying levels, in supporting their efforts. The individual should possess good database and application design skills and also be aware of good application/database support practices.  Good development and documentation skills are required as the individual will work with a broad team of resources, and will need to communicate the designs and solutions effectively.
