Senior Business Analyst
The qualified candidate will work and partner with enterprise architecture to define and implement the domain strategy within the organization and coordinate design activities across multiple projects and programs, working with multiple Solutions Architects. The ideal candidate will have the ability to define new, original ideas and successfully implement those ideas into the organization. The qualified candidate will have experience in transport methods such as HTTP, MQ, and XML
Responsibilities:
•Provide leadership in the design and implementation of complex, high impact business solutions, aligned to business goals & requirements.
•Coordinate solution design activities across various IT stakeholders - and provide guidance to implementation teams.
•Mentors and coaches others in area of expertise.
•Contribute to development of domain architecture strategy & roadmap.
•Leverage business models and requirements to design aligned information and technology solutions balancing cost, functionality and practicality.
•Collaborate with various businesses and IT stakeholders to define technical requirements and service levels, integration mechanisms, and solution architectures.
•Develop and document architecture patterns, stacks, models and/or technical specifications.
•Work closely with product analyst and domain architects to develop new product offerings and improve existing ones.
•Provide direction to internal and external resources during the selection and implementation of business systems.
•Align domain architecture with enterprise architecture strategy and guidelines IT Delivery.
•Contribute to success of business systems by providing technical leadership and direction.
•Lead the estimation, analysis, design and implementation of business solutions - for large programs or a number of complex projects and programs.
•Fit architecture to purpose. Define the interaction between application packages, databases, and middleware systems in terms of functional coverage.
•Lead teams in solving complex technical problems.
•Lead the design effort on a variety of projects in a highly collaborative environment.
•Design innovative solutions to real market problems.
•Identify any integration problems or gaps in functional coverage Organizational Development.
•Facilitate open communication and fact-based decision making.
•Collaborate with other enterprise teams to drive continuous improvement.
•Provide guidance to architects.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Information Technology or Business or equivalent experience.
•The ability to visualize and plan for outcomes in the future, which may involve an ability to support short-term trade-offs in order to achieve longer term gain.
•The ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and management, capable of successful formal and informal communication.
• Able to demonstrate knowledge and skills in the client's functional areas which can include: Seats, Fares, Bags, ACI, Award/Upgrades, PNR, Ticketing and Link - a plus.
• Strong expertise in transport methods including HTTP, MQ, and XML - a plus.
• Strong Java and object-oriented architecture knowledge and skills - a plus.
• Staying informed as to industry practices, knowing how to apply relevant technical processes to appropriate business needs.
• The ability to successfully manage multiple competing work efforts across multiple teams.
• 5 years or more applicable experience in area of expertise required.
• Experience in airline industry highly preferred.
• Experience in domain IT strategy development preferred.
• Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• Experience with programs or projects involving Oracle, SQL, Data Warehouse, or Tibco delivery components a plus.
• The ability to engage and enroll others in an initiative - both individually and in a group setting.
