Position :- Java developer with extensive Investment banking exp

Location :- New york, NY

Duration :- 1 Year

Interview :- Face  to Face

Must-have Technical skills:

• Languages - Strong Java and J2EE, VBA, VBScript, VB.NET, C# (for potential enhancements)

• Scripting languages – JavaScript, Perl (nice to have)

• Databases – MS Sql Server, SSIS (a plus)

• Application Servers – WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, JBoss (nice to have)

• Frameworks: Spring MVC, Integration, jQuery, Dojo (a plus), EXTjs (a plus)

• Tools/Packages – Ant, Maven, Eclipse, NetBeans, IBM RTC (nice to have), IBM BuildForge (nice to have)

• Version Control – SVN, RTC, CVS

Must-have soft skills:

• Hands on development

• Investment banking experience where candidate has previously worked with large volumes of financial data and understands the end to end trade-life-cycle (from trade capture to settlement).

• Comfortable navigating through MS sql server database

• Previous experience building web tools

• Demonstrable track record of delivery

• Excellent communication, both written and spoken

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team. Must be able to collaborate on initiatives and take leadership role on recommending solutions.

• Ability to learn fast and rapidly assimilate new business requirements

• Disciplined approach, able to follow process and suggest improvements where necessary

Nice-to-have:

• Knowledge of BSM traded products e.g. Bonds, Mortgage Backed Securities, Swaps, Options, Futures, Loans and Deposits, FX, Repo’s

• Strong Treasury knowledge would be beneficial

• Graduate degree in Financial Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.

• Proficiency in Spanish or Portugues
