Job Title Sr Technical Analyst
Location; SF bay, CA
Duration: Contract
Mode of Interview: Telephonic and face to Face
UPDATE: Please try not to submit developers / architects for this role, as they are probably not a good fit. The role is focused on support, requirements analysis, and light data analysis, but less engineering. Looking for more of a true "analyst".
Strong quantitative and analytical abilities, with deep understanding of data warehousing and ETL processing in both traditional relational databases and Hadoop
Strong knowledge of SQL, experience with Hive and Pig a plus
Strong collaboration, teaming, negotiation and persuasive skills
Excellent communication (oral, written and presentation) and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate and evangelize the merits of our products and business
Highly organized with a “Can do” attitude; be able to work effectively under tight deadlines
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills are required
Ability to work independently with little to no supervision within a fast paced, dynamic environment
Ability to communicate data and ideas effectively with PowerPoint
Ability to document requirement from business into BRD, Technical Specifications and Data Dictionaries
Vast experience of working in the area of data management including Data Modeling, Metadata, Data Analysis, Data Mapping and Data Dictionaries.
Intermediate skills level in Excel/Work; must be familiar with building and using pivot tables
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited and recognized institution of higher learning is required.
4 plus years of prior work experience within the software industry is required
