Position Description:

The client is looking for a candidate with senior expertise in business analysis and technical specifications documentation for large and complex data systems.  Candidate will be interacting daily with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and developers and must thrive in a fast-paced environment.  Strong knowledge of and significant experience in Large Complex Data Systems, Oracle/SQL Server Databases, Extract Transformation and Load (ETL) processes, Data Modeling, PL/SQL, T-SQL and Early Education / K-12 Data is strongly desired.

Responsibilities:

·         Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather/clarify business requirements for data and reporting

·         Convert business requirements and rules into technical specifications in accordance to standards, including but not limited to, field-to-field mappings

·         Develop alternative solutions to complex and conflicting requirements

·         Validate requirements for quality attributes, such as clarity, conciseness, correctness, completeness, testability and traceability

·         Provide support to developers in clarifying data and reporting requirements

·         Analyze source data and perform data audits to ensure accuracy and conformance to established data standards and defined system/user requirements.

·         Analyze of data model against business requirements and provide recommendations, if needed

·         Analyze and troubleshoot data issues

·         Provide source data cleansing recommendations as needed

·         Transfer knowledge to client Personnel

 

Requirements:

·         4+ years of experience as a Technical/Business Analyst and is an expert in facilitation of technical requirements definition and documentation using established techniques

·         Strong knowledge of and significant experience in Large Complex Data Systems, Extract Transformation and Load (ETL) processes, data modeling, Oracle/SQL Server database, PL/SQL and/or T-SQL, and Early Education / K-12 Data is strongly desired
