Role: Sr. QA Tester ( Functional Tester )

Location: Albany, NY.

Duration: 24+ months.

Interview : Phone .

·         Provide guidelines, reviews and support to developers and business analysts creating unit tests and integrating them into the build cycles. 

·         Manage teams performing testing activities, including UI automation, integration testing, performance and scalability testing

·         Review and provide guidance on the test scope and output of testers performing exploratory testing in development sprints

·         Facilitate, record and capture information from demos and clinical validations

·         Create status reporting mechanisms to monitor the status of the above activities

·         Host integration discussions, with representatives of all test teams, identify and help resolve road blocks

·         Ensure that requirements and deliverables are verified and validated at each testing phase and final acceptance

·         Prepare test protocols and reports which meet regulatory requirements, during the final test cycle

·         Help keep test processes streamlined for efficiency

·         Be the primary advocate for the adoption of methodologies which are appropriate for the project. 

Skills Needed :

·         84 months of experience planning, designing, developing and executing test strategies based on software specifications.  Experience must include creating test plans, test schedules, test reports, and creating test strategies. 

·         84 months of experience coordinating, tracking, and analyzing testing activities.  Experience must include hands-on use of defect management tools to identify, document, track and communicate problems to technical staff.   Experience must include working directly with business analysts, business and technical subject matter experts.

·         84 Months of experience using functional test tools.

·         60 months hands-on experience recording and scripting automated functional tests. Experience must detail the use of specific automation tools and processes/methods used to create automated tests from manual functional tests.

·         48 months direct hands-on experience as a Test / QA Lead working on large software development and data migration project(s). Experience must detail team leadership responsibilities.

·         36 Months of experience creating user test scripts and managing User Acceptance Testing.

·         36 Months experience using HP Quick Test Professional (QTP), Mercury, or HP Unified Functional Testing (UFT) to automate manual functional test scripts.

·         36 Months of experience in using HP Quality Center. 

·         24 months of experience scripting Performance and Stress tests using HP Load Runner.
