Position: Android GUI Developer

Location: Irvine, CA

Duration: 12 +months Contract

2 interviews: telephone and onsite (Skype for out of state)

Prefer local talent but will accept out of state folks

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The ideal candidate should have working knowledge of the Android SDK and Android user interface (UI) Development.

·         Experience in developing complex Java and C/C++ user interfaces on the Android and Linux platform is required, with the ability to efficiently integrate the UI with other application components in an abstract manner.

·         Experience with other UI technologies such as Qt and QML is also highly desired. Candidate must have experience in software architecture design and a working knowledge of software design patterns.

·         Candidate must provide technical leadership in the implementation of the user interface in both design and implementation.

·         Candidate will involve in all phases of software development lifecycle, as well as sustaining existing software products.

·         The candidate will perform technical planning for the development of new Android and Qt/QML user interfaces, and participate in design discussions with relevant teams.

·         For budget planning purposes, the candidate needs to provide estimated workload to management base on knowledge of the requirements. You will be involved in all phases of the development cycle and is responsible for the life cycle of the assigned application, including implementation, software integration, and working with the QA team to make sure that the UI passes all validation, as well as sustaining the UI after release.

·         The candidate will also manage analysis of bug fixes and enhancement for the IFE system.

Requirements:

·         Working knowledge on Android SDK and Android GUI Development.

·         General Experience in user interface design and development.

·         Experience developing complex Java & C/C++ application infrastructure, services, libraries and tools on the Android & Linux platforms.

·         Experience in software architecture design, working knowledge of design patterns.

·         Experience in all phases of software development lifecycle: requirements analysis, tech design, implementation, code review, testing, and release.

·         Experience in collaboration with 3rd party software development resources.

·         Self-motivated, critical thinker with strong technical background.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·         Experience with Qt and QML UI Development also desired.

·         Experience in 3D UI / application development desired.

·         Experience with UI graphics and authoring tools a plus.
