Job Title: QA/Development Engineer
Location: Washington, DC (Need Locals)
Duration : 3 Months
Interview : Phone and F2F
This position is with the Quality Assurance team.
QA team is made up of Java programmers, QA Engineers and analysts responsible for testing Comcast's Search, Browse, Data and Recommendations platform.
Job Responsibilities:
Definition, implementation, and execution of the functional, regression, and acceptance test strategy on highly iterative and collaborative projects.
Developing and maintaining test plans and test cases.
Evaluate test results to determine adherence to requirements and conformance to established business processes.
Create Test and Defects reports on weekly basis.
Deploy and test Java applications.
Create and execute automated tests using Fitnesse.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in the development and execution of test plans and test scripts and generating QA metrics.
Experience using Fitnesse.
Experience with Hadoop, MapReduce or Big Data / Distributed Computing.
Good understanding of Java environments and architecture.
Experience in UNIX and Windows environments.
Good knowledge of TCP/IP – to deal with connectivity issue with Comcast cable infrastructure.
Knowledge of programming concepts and practices. Has the ability to work closely with developers.
Experience with complete Software Development Life Cycle including requirements, design, and development and testing.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience with technical training, is required.
Plus:
Familiarity with cable infrastructure.
Experience in Search domain.
Some telecom experience to deal with the backend infrastructure (VOD servers, NAV servers) and system configurations.
Understands source code control issues and systems such as CVS.
Familiar with interface testing and mock objects concepts.
Experience in Load/Performance testing.
Job Title: Sr Project Manager
Location: Philadelphia, PA (Need Locals)
Duration : 3 Months

Core Responsibilities
Provides expert research and assistance to leadership in the development and design of new projects.
Uses formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes.
Recommends new process and tools to achieve advanced project management.
Manages project status and information in the form of formal briefings, project update meetings, and written, electronic, and graphic reports.
Develops, maintains, and manages detailed project plans, action item registers, and major milestone timelines for all assigned projects.
Creates and maintains process workflow documents to support business needs.
Manages all assigned projects to completion ensuring on-time delivery, meeting of budgetary demands, and maintenance of overall project ownership.
Acts as a single point of contact for project status. Maintains communication with stakeholders.
Facilitates and leads project meetings.
Addresses problems through risk management and contingency planning and presents solutions and/or options to executive management.
Ensures effective implementation of solutions/changes.
Must have:
At least 10 years of Telecommunications service provider experience with a significant amount of that experience functioning as a Project Manager or Program Manager.
Prior BSS/OSS Systems implementation experience.

Must have:
8+ years' experience working within the Service Provider Space. 10+ overall work experience.
Design experience within the BSS domain Order Entry/Management, Provisioning & Activation
Knowledge and experience in carrier services end-to-end solutions and operation practices
Highly skillful in BSS system architecture, designs, specifications, system testing and system users training and adoption in carrier service provisioning, design, and configuration
Deep knowledge and highly experiences in networks, devices, services modeling and automation in BSS systems
Proficiency in documenting Use Cases, Requirements, Activity Diagrams and Sequence Diagrams in a technical environment (UML)
Experience facilitating JAD sessions
Understanding of SOA and experience writing requirements in a SOA environment
Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
Advanced proficiency with use of Microsoft Office applications including, Word, MS Project, Excel and Visio and other tools that facilitate the requirements gathering and design phases of the SDLC
Ability to work and deliver under the pressure of deadlines and commitments to the customer

Design and administration of multiple network products on large networks in production business, and carrier environments
Design of carrier network products for national ISP.
Configuration, testing, and debugging advanced routers utilizing complex routing tables, running RIP, OSPF, ISIS, and MPLS (LDP, RSVP-TE, MP-BGP).
Configuration, testing, and debugging of various CPE products including Cable Modems, Ciena, Juniper, and Cisco edge and aggregation devices
Configuration, testing, and debugging BGP in a production carrier environment with multi-protocol extensions, configuration of switches and bridges utilizing multiple flavors of spanning tree, 802.1Q, 802.1ad, LACP, Ethernet OAM, and CFM (including Y.1731).
Design and implementing and automating OSS systems for network products
Must have:
8-10+ Years' experience within commercial data service providers Telecommunications space
Proven experience working with service provider networks in a technical lead capacity for Ethernet and IP/MPLS product or platform.
Expert on large scale Cisco and Juniper based IP/MPLS networks design, provisioning, and operation
Hands on experience on configuring Cisco and Juniper IP routers
Experience working on network monitoring and service level reporting solutions
Experience in engineering product delivery methods and procedures.
Ability to create complex collaborative technical documents
Nice to Have:
Extensive Ethernet Network Engineering experience.
