Position:: Linux Engineer

Location:: New York, NY     

Duration:: 1+ year

Required Skills :-

* Someone whom is confident in all aspects of UNIX (Linux) environments; performing this in either an operational or administrative function.

* Proficient in command line tools, how processes interact with each other, memory and storage management

* Working knowledge of networking protocols and scripting (PERL/Shell)

Preferred Skills :-

* Advanced Unix knowledge in Kernels, File system, and memory management

* Involved in design/architecting solutions in PERL, Linux/BASH, Database/SQL, Web Services, Java, and real time transactional systems.

* Self-sufficient with strengths in communication; Self-Organized / Motivated / Excellent Multitasker / Proactive attitude

* Basic comprehension of Financial Services industry; specific knowledge in Institutional Securities;
