Data Warehouse Developer
Duration: 12 months +
Location: San Diego, CA(LOCAL ONLY)
Interview mode: Phone interview and on-site 2 hour white boarding interview (this is mandatory)
Person must have strong SSIS skills
Focus should be on data modeling
Recent SQL server (including SQL server 2012)
Recent SSIS development.
C# is a plus.
Hiring manager likes people with a financial background
The company has two systems they run 1. LYN (windows based… internal system) 2. XIFIN (their medical billing based system)
They are rebuilding their data warehouse starting with an ETL implementation
This person reports to the director
Key responsibilities:
• Data modeling
• SSIS development
• Solution analysis and design
• Unit testing and release support
• Maintenance as required
• Collaboration with other team members
• Translation of data source descriptions to data models and ETL implementation
Required skills:
• T-SQL
• SSIS programming
• Data modeling for DW and transactional systems
• QA or software validation experience
Other skills and knowledge:
• Sound and current software development habits
• Knowledge of Agile project lifecycle
• Experience with design approaches
• Ability to learn and follow team practices
• Collaboration, follow-through, and attention to detail
• Personal accountability
• C# or other object-oriented language experience
• UML
• DB design tools, such as ERWin or ER/Studio
