SAS Developer
Location : Oak Brook ,IL
Duration : 6+months
Mandatory Skill's : Demand Planning,Supply Chain Management, Forecasting Experience Must
Roles and Responsibilities :
This role is responsible for business process design, technical process design, and the development of related software tools used to produce forecasts of consumer demand for our Supply Chain Client.
The position will work primarily within the Business Analytic's group, the Business Intelligence team in IT as well as external clients.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform in depth statistical analyses
- Research demand planning business process strategies
- Work with other Demand Planners to understand the requirements for forecasting tools
- Write business process functional and technical design documents
- Writing SAS code for production forecasting systems
- Work with IT and others to resolve various process and technical issues
- Produce high quality forecasts
- Using standardized processes for generating supply chain recommendations create:
- Production quantity estimates
- Contingency production estimates
- Case pack quantity estimates
- Perform detailed post-analyses of forecast error and planning assumptions
Required Skill
Advanced SAS skills. 3+ years of use in a business environment.
Some experience in providing fact-based guidance to business decision makers
Familiarity with time series forecasting methodologies.
Desirable skills
Experience with retail Point-of-Sale or syndicated (Nielsen, IRI) data
UNIX scripting
Experience developing software for complex production environments
Experience creating functional and technical business requirement documents.
