Position: WAS Admin with experience in Jboss

Location: Omaha, NE

Duration: Contract

Experience Level: 5+ years

Type of hire: Contract

 

Must Have Skills: WAS Admin with experience in Jboss

·         Installing and configuring Middleware (WAS/JBoss),Webserver (Apache/IHS) and web application (Tomcat) products on new build servers across all environments ( Dev., QA, CAT, DR and Prod).

·         Configuring new instances on existing live servers across non-prod environments only (Dev., QA, Test and CAT).

·         Installing and configuring newer version of middleware on existing live servers across non-prod environments only (Dev., QA, Test and CAT).

·         Checking pre-requisites and coordinate with OS team to get all access and file systems created.

·         Raising firewall request to open ports wherever necessary.

·         Raising post work orders for various services like Startup scripts, Optier Installation, Monitoring request, Load balancer and DNS mapping requests.

·         Installing and configuring Siteminder for webservers on app team request.

·         Creating project documentation and CLIP doc after verification for each project.

·         Project handover to BAU team (Run Team) post project implementation.

·         Ability to interact with business users to discuss and document business requirements, and then translate those requirements into a working application.

·         Coordinates project deliverables across project plans, guides lower level resources to support project requirements, attends and participates in project meetings, and distributes project information to staff

·         Solid experience in the installation, specification, development and deployment of solutions.

·         Aids production support area when appropriate

·         Should possess in-depth understanding on the Demand Management modules.
