Position – Sr. Citrix System Engineer
Location - St Petersburg, FL
Duration - 6+ Months
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Position to start ASAP; before the end of the month if possible. Position to last about a year, with possibility to renew after that.
This position is for an experienced Systems Engineer II that has Citrix/Windows Terminal Server skills, VMware virtualization skills, and familiarity with VDI technology to work on a global enterprise support team. It is essential that the candidate have at least 3-5 years of CTX/TS support experience in an enterprise environment, at least 2-4 years of Hyper-V/VMware support experience, and familiarity and some experience with VDI technologies. A standard 40 hour work week is expected with some weekend work likely. In addition, some travel may be required so a passport may be needed.
The following is a summary of the skills required and the duties that the candidate will be expected to perform:
Essential Duties
o Key resource on conducting professional support to company key CTX/TS (RDS) infrastructure
o Strong troubleshooting and performance analysis skills on RDS infrastructure
o Serve as an interface to the internal IT team and key users to troubleshoot and identify any system performance issues
o Ensure that all appropriate documentation is created or updated as needed
o Build systems to Jabil baseline standards
o Involve on other system support activities (such as AD /VCenter etc.) in the global systems support team
o Have project implementation/management experience and may be required on involving on key infrastructure upgrade project pertaining to RDS
Required Skills
o Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows server products
o Extensive experience with Citrix / Window Terminal Servers
o Extensive experience with VMware products and Hyper-V
o Extensive knowledge and understanding of ESX environments based on various hardware platforms
o Good understanding of EMC SAN platforms
o MCSE Certification or equivalent
o Citrix certified preferred
