Position:: Sr. Java Developer

Qualifications :-

•             Excellent written and verbal communication skill.

•             3+ years hands-on experience in web development using Java, J2EE and frameworks such as Struts, Spring, etc

•             3+ years hands-on experience with basic Oracle PL/SQL or SQL programming in SQL server

•             Excellent problem solving, verbal and written skills, with proven ability to communicate complex ideas.

•             Ability to write clean, coherent code, and to follow established coding style guidelines.

•             Demonstrated ability in software design

•             Results oriented team player with a positive attitude.

•             Follow established corporate processes and procedures, including using a source control system and following coding conventions

•             Strong multi-tasking and self-motivated.

Responsibilities :-

•             Working in our Agile-Scrum framework to write high-quality code.

•             Create software architecture, designs, code, and unit tests according to Virtusa standards and defined business/technical requirements.

•             Set a solid technical example, mentoring of less experienced team members.

•             Review user stories, refine acceptance criteria, and make suggestions to backlog priority.

•             Participate in peer reviews around architecture, designs, code, and unit tests.

•             Assist in developing and maintaining automated build and deployment processes.

•             Create release notes and deployment instructions to accompany releases.

•             Work closely with QA and Operations on deployments, load testing, automated tests, and general troubleshooting.

•             Work in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment

•             Conducts component level work estimation and assists in project plan development, execution and change control

•             Conducts component level systems design and develops prototypes and unit and integration testing

•             Fixes bugs reported by QA for the software

•             Participating in code reviews.

•             Identifying risks and proposing solutions.

•             Building constructive working relationships, both within the team and with cross-functional staff.
