Job Title: Senior System Engineer (VM WARE/ Server Visualization)
Duration: Long-term
Location: Rocket Center, WV
Description:
1. Job Duty 1 Build / deploy virtualized infrastructure in accordance with technology refresh plan (50%)
2. Job Duty 2. Perform CIS Benchmark hardening of COTS applications and Operating Systems (10%)
3. Job Duty 3. Oversee System Engineering Team (20%)
4. Job Duty 4. Cross-train existing IBM O&M staff on new technologies / configurations (10%)
5. Job Duty 5. Create / update O&M documentation (10%)
Required skills/Level of Experience :
- Experience in server virtualization (8 yrs)
- Experience in setting up/Configuring VMWare vSphere/ESX Server environments ( 5 Years)
- Experienced in configuring, maintaining and monitoring COTS applications in Red Hat Linux and/or Windows environments (5 yrs)
- Experience in performing System Administration in Unix/Linux environment (5 yrs)
- Experience with LDAP and DNS (5 yrs)
- Experience with Windows Active Directory servers (5 yrs)
- Knowledge of networking protocols and network administration ( 2 Years)
Nice to have skills:
N/A
Preferred Skills
- Working knowledge of Relational databases to include MySQL and Oracle 11gR2
- Knowledge about McAfee Sidewinder Firewalls and Cisco firewalls, routers and switches - CCNA a plus
- Knowledge of application/Web server administration Apache/Tomcat
- Hands on experience with Nessus Vulnerability Scanner
- Knowledge of CIS Benchmark standards
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
