Title: Senior Quality Assurance Analyst

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Duration: 12 Months

Note: In-person interview in mandatory

Release Comments: Resource will be sole QA on this Scrum team, so they must be highly technical and motivated. This is a high visibility project. 

Job Description:

•        Develops, publishes, and implements test plans.

•        Writes and maintains test automation.

•        Develops quality assurance standards.

•        Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.

•        Requires at least 7 years of experience.

Demonstrated experience in:

•        Problem solving, critical thinking and dealing with ambiguity

•        Developing test plans, scenarios, cases and scripts to ensure end result aligns with business need

•        Analyzing requirements and effectively applying appropriate testing techniques (e.g. pairwise) to ensure comprehensive testing coverage

•        Employing risk based testing, structured and exploratory testing strategies, concepts, and methodologies

•        Designing test data to ensure data variation supports application requirements

•        Working in an Agile development environment and proactively engaging with development peers to promote early defect prevention

•        Leading test case design reviews and risk assessments

•        Ensuring adherence to software quality criteria and established QM processes. Escalating issues appropriately.

•        Managing time and effectively prioritizing work

•        System testing techniques including functional, integration, and regression

•        Testing Client/server applications at both the user interface and service layer (.Net preferred)

•        Test management tools (Quality Center preferred)

•        Defect tracking tools (Quality Center and/or Jira preferred)

•        Functional automation tools like HP Quick Test Pro

•        Estimating the testing impact of new requirements

Hiring Criteria

•        We are looking for candidates with strong experience testing client server applications at the UI and service layers

•        Experience testing .Net applications and Web Services

•        Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills

•        Experience in Financial services domain

•        Experience with relational databases and SQL

•        Extensive experience with SQL scripting

•        Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies

•        Must be able to work effectively within a collaborative environment

•        Experience in Agile development methodologies

•        Automation experience using HP Quick Test Pro or similar tool

•        Familiarity with Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) a plus

•        Good verbal and written communication skills
