Position: Windows Information Security Engineer

Location: Dallas, TX

Duration: Long Term

 Job Description

•       The client is seeking a Windows Information Security Engineer to support the technology activities of various internal organizations.

•       Candidate must have experience with Active Directory, including a fundamental understanding of authentication, auditability, and access controls techniques and technologies. In addition, a solid understanding of management techniques, best practices, protocols, and troubleshooting techniques are required.

•       Exchange, SQL Server, Clustering, and an understanding of networking are a plus.

•       The Security Engineer will assist in the development and application of security patterns that would be applied to network, host, application, and data resources.

•       Work with business units in the implementation of security components and controls into the systems development lifecycle.

•       Implement Role Based Access Control to ensure compliance to internal policy and current regulatory laws.

•       Integrate existing access control mechanisms into enterprise authentication and access management toolsets.

•       Work with business units to implement system security baselines to ensure consistency to organization, maximum confidentiality, integrity and availability of information assets and conformation to industry best practices.

Skills

Our ideal candidate will have 1-3 years overall Active Directory experience that includes:

•       1+ years hands on experience with Active Directory. Proven experience in the development, implementation and troubleshooting of GPO's for users, workstations and servers. Familiarity with R2, specifically Unix interoperability in relation to authentication and authorization services.

•       1+ years working with securing Microsoft operating system platforms, including 2003, Windows 7 / Server 2008 R2 / Server 2012, Exchange 2007/2010.

•       Experience of Microsoft Office products

•       Experience with server virtualization technologies (VMware or Microsoft Hyper-V) a plus

•       Experience developing, implementing and communicating security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures a plus

•       Demonstrated ability to provide detailed communication to management and peers, the ability to work independently, and the ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
