Position: Network Engineer Level 2

Location is Milwaukee WI

Duration: 6months

Need H1 Copy

Summary

·         Part of a global team supporting IT infrastructure

·         Under general direction, provide production support for a large Local and Wide Area Network environment

·         Access and troubleshoot  network equipment, analyze using network monitoring tools and report/track the troubleshooting  effort.

Technical Skills

·         Cisco networking basics (router and switch configuration and operation)

·         General knowledge of network circuits

·         Network monitoring and analysis tools

·         Understanding of IP

·         Basic knowledge of VolP

Non-Technical  Skills

·         Good English reading, writing and verbal communication skills

·         Good telephone skills

·         Able to work remotely

·         Enjoys working  in a team environment

·         Quickly learn new concepts

·         Documentation,  updating trouble tickets and follow-up on work requests.

Job Requirements

·         Round-the-clock, global operation  7 days x 24 hours

·         May require working  non-business hours depending  on project/business needs.

Education

·         Minimum educational requirement is a bachelor of Computer Science or related background.

·         Preference to candidates having Cisco CCNA or CCNP

Job Catalog description of a Network Enqineer Level 2

·         Operates a company's internal data communications systems, including LANs and/or WANs. Plans, designs and implements networked systems, including configurations, supporting/troubleshooting network problems and coordinating with vendors for installation of such items as routers, bridges, concentrators and switches. Works on projectimplementation.

·         Provides training and assists with proposal writing.  Conducts  project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons.
