Job Title: UI/UX Designer
Location: Farmington, CT
Duration: 6+ Months Contract (possible of Extensions)
Job Description:
This position affords opportunities to work across a broad range of UI/UX related disciplines from UI prototyping and interactive design, to usability testing and information architecture. The team member will be expected to apply intuitive design methodologies to wire framing, graphics development, skinning, and layout structuring. Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to learn quickly in various technical and creative environments, while delivering quality work by tight deadlines, are key attributes of this individual.
Work closely with product managers and product architecture to understand complex functional requirements and transform them into design recommendations
Possess the ability to mimic and adapt company creatives into new assignments at the direction of Senior Interactive Designer
Effectively communicate design recommendations using wireframes, flowcharts, high-fidelity design comps, interactive prototypes and the occasional cocktail napkin.
Create production-ready assets using Sketch and Adobe Creative Suite.
Advocate for the needs of end-users throughout the product design process; evangelize & promote good design principals and best practices throughout the organization.
Evaluate the latest design trends and determine how best to translate them into our platform.
Independently manage multiple, concurrent projects in a fast-paced development environment, proactively ensuring that appropriate UX considerations are made
Work with project stakeholders to build consensus behind the best practical design solutions
Required Skills:
Must be passionate about user experience and human centered design
Responsible for the UI/UX design of application layouts, graphics, multimedia, GUIs.
Understanding of desktop applications
Knowledge in Adobe Creative Platform.
Tech-savvy and burning curiosity for cutting edge ways to improve the UI.
Effectively develops in a clean, well-structured, easily maintainable format.
Utilizes storyboarding and graphic pre-designs where appropriate.
Demonstrates creative, technical and analytical skills.
Operates effectively as a member of the agile development
Detail-oriented and able to work under deadlines in a fast paced environment
Responsible for meeting expectations and deliverables on time and in high quality.
Effectively develops in a clean, well-structured, easily maintainable format.
Utilizes storyboarding and graphic pre-designs where appropriate.
Demonstrates creative, technical and analytical skills.
Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively in both technical and business environments.
Possess a good portfolio of recent work
