DESCRIPTION:
Our client is seeking a mid-level Business Systems Analyst to work on medium and large complex projects. The BSA will analyze business requirements, procedures and problems, providing solutions in line with business requirements. Manage and report on projects as defined by the scope and timeline, from inception to transition, working closely with the project team and stakeholders. Develop, document and maintain detailed specifications, including use cases and supporting diagrams and supplemental documentation. Ensure requirements encompass project scope. Mentor and support other Business Analysts and project teams in the chosen project process. Will be a Domain expert on projects and will require minimal supervision for more complex projects. Develop practical and workable solutions to stakeholders' technical and business problems. Analyze and evaluate business systems and user needs. Write detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs. The BSA will work closely with the stakeholders and project team, acting as the stakeholder-by-proxy.
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications:
- Experience and knowledge with system development approaches (e.g. RUP, Agile, etc).
System Analysis:
- Proven experience with Use Cases and requirements gathering techniques.
- Proven ability to design, develop, deploy and maintain innovative and successful technical applications/systems.
- Experience with workflow design and development of requirements gathering with Use Cases
- Competent in working on complex projects independently and with a team during multiple phases of a project
- Experience with user-centric requirements gathering, analysis and scoping.
- Experience with designing, conducting and analyzing user interviews and surveys
- Ability to frame problems and opportunities to present solutions
- Experienced at application training and documentation
- Experience with and knowledge of SQL - capable of running sql queries to debug issues/queries from the users
- Familiarity with the systems and technology commonly found in an enterprise IT environment such as CMS, CRM, EAI, ERP, DAM, Portals, and e-Commerce
- Experience integrating applications to other enterprise systems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft and open source development technologies
Other Skills:
- Bachelors degree; Masters degree a plus
- 3-4 years in a Business Analyst role
- Persuasive, patient manner
- Flexible and able to work under tight deadlines
- High level of integrity and professional maturity
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to think strategically (outside-the-box) and provide creative solutions
- Track record of teamwork and leadership skills
