Role:: Hadoop Developer

Location:: San Antonio, TX

Duration:: 12+ months

Job Description::

Technical/Functional Skills         Hands on experience in Hadoop/HBase, Apache Hive/Pig, Apache HBase native APIs, Batch processing, ETL methodologies

Experience Required                     Associate should possess strong skills in the hadoop ecosystem - HBASE, Hive, Pig etc., Strong unix skills with shell scripting experience will be preferred.  Should have enterprise application development experience with hands on design and implementation.

Roles & Responsibilities              To work with technical architects and help with design, building scripts and all data governance activities like ingestion, archiving and purging of data required for the AUTO and PROPERTY Insurance lines of business. Will interact and integrate the Property and Auto systems with BI systems. Will need to plan and execute the big data environment changes from start to implementation of projects.

Generic Managerial Skills            Good Communication skills, work alongside architects and tech leads
