SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

•        Design, develop, new or maintain existing integration projects and services using the Java EE, REST, SOAP, JMS and other technology stacks.

•        Define technical scope and objectives through research and participation in requirements gathering and definition of processes

•        Work extensively with the Enterprise Architecture team to determine applicability of design alternatives; identify and recommend to the most cost effective options to meet the needs of the project.

•        Interface as necessary with all critical integration points to insure that applications are integrated successfully and efficiently with all requested applications.

•        Share knowledge by effectively documenting work; Maintain expert level of knowledge in area of expertise

•        Develop and maintaining a thorough knowledge of the assigned application integration(s), functional area(s) or project(s)

•        Respond quickly and effectively to production issues and taking responsibility for seeing those issues thru resolution.

•        Adhere to all applicable development policies, procedures and standards.

•        Participate in functional test planning and testing for the assigned application integration(s), functional area(s) or project(s)

•        Develop and maintaining a thorough knowledge of the assigned application integration(s), functional area(s) or project(s)

•        Work with the team to ensure the quality product is delivered.

•        Respond quickly and effectively to production issues and taking responsibility for seeing those issues through resolution.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors of Science in Computer Science or related science preferred (or equivalent industry experience)

Minimum of two to three years in experience with the following:

§  Designing and Developing Enterprise Application Integration projects §  Designing and developing technical specs §  Strong knowledge of Java SE, Java EE, JMS, XML, XSL, Web Services and other application integration related technologies §  Development experience with understanding of REST, SOAP, UDDI, WS-Security, SOA Governance, Web Service Management tools §  Must be able to contribute in a team environment §  Must be detail oriented §  Excellent oral and written communication skills §  Excellent customer service skills §  Excellent analytical and problem solving skills §  Working knowledge of Linux O/S and Solaris environments

Desirable Skills:

§  Developing applications for Enterprise Service Bus or Integration Broker Technology (middleware) Products §  Experience participating on enterprise architecture sterring committees and SOA process improvement teams in a plus.

§  Experience in designing and developing technical specification §  Experience with Sonic Enterprise Service Bus (Sonic ESB) product suite or other integration products such as Tibco, webMethods, WebLogic Integration, WebSphere MQ/ESB, is a strong plus §  Working knowledge of Oracle database structures and data population procedures a plus
