Position Responsibilities:
• Designs and build Oracle database RAC environments.
• Design and document database architecture.
• Data Modeling.
• Troubleshooting and performance tuning Oracle databases.
• Working with application owners to resolve database issues.
• Operations and Monitoring of the environment.
• Patching and upgrades.
• Performing backup and cloning.
• Participates in the 24/7 on-call rotation
Minimum Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering or related discipline is required, and an advanced degree is a plus.
• Relative certifications are plus, such as Oracle OCA, OCP, OCM. Independent knowledge of Oracle databases version 9i, 10g and 11g. Experience with Oracle RAC is required.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategies for various database technologies.
• Experience installing, configuring and administering Oracle on physical, virtual and RAC environment.
• Experienced with performance tuning in RAC environment.
• Experienced in RMAN backup/restore and cloning.
• Experience supporting Retail application databases is a plus.
• Experience with Oracle Grid 12c monitoring
• Excellent knowledge of P/L SQL.
• Demonstrated ability to create batch scripts for task automation.
• Experience with mid to large size organization.
• Highly organized and results driven.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to be on call 24x7 and have a flexible work schedule.
• Minimum of 8 years of Database Administration experience.
• Experience with MS-SQL, IBM Netezza is a plus.
