Position: Business Engineering Analyst III (Facets)
Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA
Duration: 6 Months Contract/CTH
Start Date: 5/18/2015
POSITION PURPOSE:
Under general supervision, this position is primarily responsible for the identification and implementation of solutions which result in efficient, accurate, and quality configuration of the company's core and integrated systems. This position takes a lead role in consulting with assigned operations areas and guiding the decision-making process for identifying, selecting, and modeling solutions to meet operations-identified needs, goals, and metrics. This position ensures the timely configuration and implementation of selected solutions either by directly completing the solution or providing specifications and/or instructions for completion of the solution.
This position is accountable for complying with all laws and regulations that are associated with assigned duties and responsibilities.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
Position Location: This position reports to a Manager, Business Engineering.
Activities of Direct Reports: This position has no direct reports.
NECESSARY CONTACTS:
In order to effectively fulfill this position, the incumbent must develop, maintain, and be in consistent contact with:
Staff and process owners of specific operations and IT divisions and outside service providers and software vendors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree required. Four years of related experience can be used in lieu of a degree.
Minimum of five years health plan operations, application development or programming to include four years application development or programming experience.
Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Business/Systems Analysis for software systems including requirements gathering and development of formal business, process, and system requirements required
Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Quality Assurance of software systems including development and execution of detailed test cases and proper process controls required to ensure quality of configuration of the core software systems required
Demonstrated mastery of the development or configuration of core software systems and utilization of other technical tools used to support the core systems. These include:
· Advanced Configuration or Application Development experience required
· Advanced Relational Database experience required (MS Access, MS SQL)
· Advanced Database tools and query language experience required (MS SQL Management, Studio/Query Analyzer, MS Access, Transact-SQL)
· Advanced MS Excel skills required
· MS SharePoint preferred.
· Facets Medical Plan Experience Strongly Preferred.
Must have responsibility for managing or assisting with projects.
Demonstrated excellent proficiency in performing the role of the lead resource either as the single configuration resource allocated to the project or as the lead of a team of analysts.
