Software Engineer (Applications): Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software used in local, networked, or Internet-related manufacturing systems. Performs business analysis, performs programming, testing and debugging of applications. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
Responsibilities:
Analyze, design, program, debug, and releases software enhancements and/or new products used in MES (manufacturing execution system) and related manufacturing software systems.
Create or modify code free of defects to meet user requirements.
Understand the current manufacturing environment and system design by working with subject matter experts to ensure accurate understanding of requirements and implementation of effective solutions.
Periodically communicate progress of work to the IT Project Manager and business partners
Job Requirements:
Experience with either Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL is mandatory.
Experience maintaining and/or enhancing an existing MES system is highly desirable. Knowledge and experience with Camstar MES is a strong plus.
Competence with Visual Studio (VB.Netand/or ASP.Net) is valuable. Experience developing .NET web services, dynamic link libraries is helpful.
Excellent unit and integration testing skills.
Experience working in a fast-paced collaborative team environment.
