Position:  SQL DBA

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Duration: 6 months

Required

•         At least  7 years  of experience in SQL Server DB administration

•         Has at least 7 years of experience in database support of MS SQL Server environments.

•         At least 7 years of experience in creating requirement specifications based on Architecture/Design /Detailing of Processes

•         Has strong knowledge and expertise of backups, restores, recovery models, database shrink operations, DBCC commands, Clustering, Database mirroring, Replication and High Availability strategies for MS SQL environments.

•         Strong experience in Database Administration in SQL Server.

•         Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log issues, connectivity issues, security issues etc.

•         Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

•         Ability to identify and troubleshoot SQL Server related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention.

•         Strong knowledge of how indexes, index management, integrity checks, configuration, patching.

•         Knowledge and experience with SQL Server 2012 a plus.

•         At least 3 years of experience in Development/ Configuration/solutions evaluation/ Validation and deployment

•         At least 3 years of experience in capturing requirements related to internal/external consulting, documenting, and mapping current business process

•         Good Analytical, Planning, Co-ordination and Communication skills

•         Experience with project management

•         Experience and desire to work in a management consulting environment that requires regular travel

•         Demonstrate excellent written and oral communications skills with the ability to articulate technical solutions for both technical and non-technical audiences.

•         Demonstrate self-motivation and goal oriented achievement.

•         Capable of multi-tasking and working with a variety of people.

Preferred

•         Business Impact analysis experience as well as RPO/RTO analysis experience Skills.    

•         Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

•         Communicate issues that may impact  other track teams, Ability to clearly articulate situations / issues to cross functional teams and clients
