Client- creates and tests innovative solutions for a variety of applications, platforms and environments.
As a QA Engineer in the Merchandising team, you will design and develop innovative testing solutions that ensure our applications and services perform for our core Merchandising business areas. You will have opportunities to work on challenging projects that drive strategic business initiatives, like multi-channel integration, Pricing, Promotions, Product Design, and Assortment Planning Strategies.
As a QA Engineer, you'll take the lead as you…
- Drive test Automation activities within a Merchandising Agile development team.
- Partner with other QA Engineers to develop and influence common automation practices within Merchandising Agile development teams.
- Research, develop and implement necessary automation frameworks.
- Create and maintain scripts for a Merchandising Platform Automated repository.
- Provide input and assist with evaluation of new test automation tools, ideas and approaches.
- Facilitate the practice of CI/CD through automation of validation/acceptance tests.
- Partner with BA's, Test Analysts and Product Owners to ensure appropriate test script coverage and prioritization.
- Lead vendor work direction and ensure automation scripting framework and standards are adhered to.
- Create test automation reporting and metrics.
- Collaborate with Development team, Non-Production Environment team and other Engineers for Environment Management and data needs
- Provide testing guidance and QA leadership to an Agile Development team within the Merchandising portfolio.
· Develop application/system-level IP to facilitate the build out of appropriate test scenarios.
· Ensure technical quality, stability and scalability of solutions.
· Support application-level coding activities where appropriate.
Requirements
- BA/BS or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years total work experience.
- Has in-depth knowledge of automated Testing tools, approaches and frameworks.
- Hands on experience scripting and developing test automation suites.
- Maintains technical knowledge within areas of expertise.
- Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education.
Qualified Candidates Will Bring
- 3 years working with test automation tools. (Selenium preferred)
- Knowledge of QTP, Cucumber, Calabash and Jenkins.
- Familiar with CI/CD and DevOps concepts and best practices.
- Experience working with offshore teams.
- Comfort and experience in working with Agile/Scrum, waterfall and iterative methodologies.
- Familiar with Testing, Development and Agile tools like HP QC, MSTFS and Version One.
- Experience with Legacy, package and web based testing.
- Knowledge of Java, XML, SQL and Git.
- Excellent Analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Prior experience in the retail space.
