Role : Senior Network Engineer
Location: Bethlehem, PA
Duration: 6 months
Interview : Phone and Skype
Responsibilities:
• Maintaining the highest level of uptime for a complex carrier-grade global network
• Provide Tier 2 and 3 support for internal and external customers
• Process moves / adds / changes under Change Control as and when necessary
• Physically build, configure and integrate routers, switches and firewalls as necessary
• Monitor network performance and utilisation
• Proactively seek and implement cost savings, efficiencies and process improvements
• Monitor and maintain all levels of network security internally and externally
• Continue to produce/enhance standards, documentation, diagrams, training materials
• Mentor Tier 1, Tier 2 and PH NOC staff and provide project guidance and tasks to enhance team skillsets
• Maintain IP subnet and port allocations
• Review and recommend annual hardware maintenance changes
• Provide technical input on RFP/RFQ opportunities
• Build, manage and support all Customer, Vendor and Corporate Remote Access IPSec and SSL VPN's
• Design, build, manage and support cost-effective, right-sized and successful new network solutions required due to new business or changing business needs
• Maintain and Support Corporate Wireless LAN Architecture
• Support counterparts in Philippines and the U.S.
• Maintain Backups of all device configurations in case of disaster recovery
• Consistently work to improve and optimize the overall network environment, implementing Best-Practice solutions and technology upgrades whilst always maintaining the highest possible level of service availability
• Work closely with peers in Telecoms, Systems, Call Center, and Development teams for integration and mission success
Education Required:
• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in computer science, information systems, engineering, or other related scientific or technical discipline. (May substitute related experience for educational requirement).
• CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification is strongly desired.
• CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) required
Required Experience:
• Must have significant experience in designing, installing and maintaining Cisco based networking systems
• Must have advanced experience with datacenter and call center operations
• Must have advanced experience with enterprise H.323 and SIP VoIP call-delivery technologies
• Must have advanced experience in Layer 2 switching and Layer 3 routing Cisco technologies
• Must have advanced experience in multi-vendor, multi-protocol converged TDM/VoIP global call-centre environments
