Role: Storage Engineer
Location: Phoenix,AZ
Rate is $50/hr C2C
Must have Dell experience or EMC Isilon specifically
along with NFS/CIFS/SAMBA
- We will identify the top candidates and complete a phone interview
- Top 2-3 candidates will be brought in to meet the team and have in person interviews.
- Once a candidate is chosen, they must successfully complete a criminal background check prior to starting
looking at:
Dell: MD, compellent, FS8600
EMC: isilon
Other: lustre appliances
Tape: oracle(T10k), Dell (LTO)
Job Description:
- Be involved with daily storage operational tasks such as provisioning, storage connectivity, storage allocation, incident problem management and the implementation of changes to the storage operational infrastructure. Additional responsibilities include forecasting, capacity planning and helping determine the strategic directions for TGen's storage requirements.
Education and Experience:
- Associates Degree or two-year tech degree in IT with a minimum of 3 years' related experience.
- Familiar with multiple platforms including Linux, Windows, Mac, and Unix.
- Experienced with the implementation of enterprise storage systems, storage appliances, and related peripherals
- Experience with storage planning, principles, and general management
- Technical knowledge of multiple current storage vendors, SAN/NAS, Distributed technologies, including CIFS/SMB/Lustre, TCP/IP and Fiber Channel.
