Required Experience:
• IBM Cognos 10 suite of BI tools (development and administration)
• ETL/EDW experience with DB Design and relational databases
• In depth SQL experience (2008 or later)
• 5-10+ years of experience working with IT and Finance
• At least 5 years TM1 development experience - designing and developing complex TM1 Websheet and Active Form reports
Additional Requirements:
• Able to communicate with the business side effectively
• BI/Reporting/Analytics/MDM
• SAP would also be a plus
• Data Integration
• Excellent communication skills – able to work closely with the business
Job Description:
Responsible for supporting all phases of the software development life-cycle process for business intelligence tools and other supporting processes and applications. Designs and implements IBM Cognos TM1 applications required to automate business processes and meet business needs of all the business units, with a heavy emphasis on finance. Design and develop Cognos BI reports. Provides support and training to users as needed. This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Solid understanding of processes and activities that occur within accounting and finance functions, including budget\forecast\planning systems design and implementation.
1. Designs and implements new TM1 applications based on business requirements
2. Design, develop, tune, and optimize the Cognos Framework Manager Packages
3. Design and implement BI reports and analytics using WSA, analysis studio, and Report studio
4. Experience in developing, debugging, and optimizing complex SQL queries
5. Experience with Cognos BI reporting solutions
6. Uses IBM Cognos BI to develop reports and analyses from TM1 and associated data
7. Create Drill through Process from TM1 Cube to EDW for querying transaction level data
8. Design, build and populate TM1 Cubes with latest actual data from EDW
9. Maintain and automate dimensions and load various types of Cubes in TM1
10. Use full TM1 10.2 suite of product, including, Performance Modeler, TM1 Applications, API, etc. to deliver solutions
11. Experience integrating TM1 with Cognos BI
12. Analyze systems needs and create system models
13. Analyze data needs and recommend data models or changes to data models
14. Work as a team player with limited support and decision making capabilities
15. Must have team oriented collaboration and communication skills
Qualifications:
1. 8-12 years of experience working with IT and Finance – developing complex budget and forecasting applications and designing and developing complex TM1 Websheet and Active Form reports
2. At least 5+ years TM1 development experience
3. At least 3+ years of experience in developing framework manager packages and BI analytics
4. At least 5+ years of experience in developing complex SQL and PLSQL scripts
5. Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting within accounting and finance functions
6. Experience Cognos TM1 version 10.2, TM1 Applications, TM1 Performance Modeler, TM1 Architect and Perspectives, Cognos Insight
7. Experience in building, optimizing, and tuning OLAP cubes in Cognos TM1
8. Experience with Cognos Business Intelligence applications integrated with TM1 (i.e, Cognos 10, Cognos Analytics, TM1, etc.)
9. In depth experience with data warehousing and business intelligence projects, having delivered multiple solutions in these areas
10. Strong knowledge of MS Excel, pivot tables and database design basics
11. Understanding of relational, dimensional databases and data modeling/database design
12. Experience in installing, configuring, tuning, and monitoring TM1 and Cognos servers
13. Good group presentation skills and excellent communication skills, verbal and written
14. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or related discipline
