Position           :  JAVA Front End Web Developer

Location          :   Bellevue Washington

Interview       :  phone and in-person interview

Duration       : 6-12 month contract

(LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY – Must be able to do a phone and in-person interview)

• Design, develop, debug, and modify components of software applications and tools.
  Drive technical direction at the application/product levels for various small to mid-sized projects.
  Design, specifications, schedule and provide quality implementation of a component or feature (typically 1-3 months in duration).
• Provide alternative solutions to various issues.
• Resolve issues and roadblocks and be able to ascertain any potential future issues-
• Follow through on details and drive issues to closure.
• Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
• Actively participate in group technology reviews to critique work of self and others. Work collaboratively with all members of technical staff.
• Collaborate with program management and testing peers in the development of assigned components.
• Participate in and provide input to requirements definitions. 
  
  Required qualifications:
• A minimum of 5 years designing and developing in large scale, production quality code in a professional software developer role
• Self-starter and quick learner who possesses exceptional attitude and aptitude
• 3 years' experience in Web page development using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript (JQuery), AJAX,
• Familiarity with software development patterns for JavaScript
• Strong software object oriented design skills and experience with proven design and architecture patterns Knowledge of other OO languages like Java, C++
• Strong problem solving skills to efficiently implement projects with difficult requirements
• Experience designing and optimizing code for robustness, scalability and performance.
• Experience developing customer facing web applications
• Ability to clearly document and communicate software architecture and design
• Ability to consume specifications, give feedback, provide estimates and translate into implementation
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members Preferred, but not required:
• Knowledge of various JavaScript libraries (Handlebar/Mustache, LESS, Backbone JS, Require JS)
• Experience with Tomcat and/or Spring frameworks
• Knowledge of analytics tools used for optimizing web sites
• Good knowledge of XML, XSD and API development
• Good knowledge of relational databases and SQL
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
