Job Title: Java Developer

Duration: 6 months contract

Job Requirement:-

·         The position is responsible for new development, maintenance and support of web-based applications and back end applications using Java, JavaScript and other web technologies.

·         This position is in the BNSF Technology Services-Team Operations group supporting technologies that are integral to the planning and management of Intermodal Hub operations across a leading Class I Railroad.

·         This position requires strong software development skills, In-depth Web PROGRAMMING skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to provide sound technical leadership.

·         The candidate must be self-motivated with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and customers to expand on evolving business requirements and insure that proper technical solutions are designed and implemented.

·         The successful applicants will have broad responsibilities for designing, building and implementing mission critical software to a 24x7 customer work environment. 

 Job Duties and Responsibilities 

·         Design, develop, implement and maintain new and current systems utilizing new and existing information technologies to support internal application critical to train operations.

·         Collaborate with technology team members and customers to define, deliver and improve technology solutions that solve business problems while positioning BNSF for future success.

·         Develop innovative web solutions to assist complex business needs.

·         Coordinate with other technical teams to develop appropriate interfaces and ensure quality and efficiency through capacity planning, performance assessment, and integration testing.

·         Coordinate customer acceptance testing and ensure customer satisfaction through timely resolution of issues, regular status reports, and ongoing communication.

·         Understand and adhere to the Technology Services infrastructure and architecture.

·         Assist in trouble shooting, root-cause analysis, and solution implementation within multiple technology areas Basic and Preferred Qualifications (Education and / or Experience).

·         Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, and / or equivalent formal training or work experience.

·         Experience working in an Agile development environment.

·         Experience and/or Strong Understanding of the Java/JSP/JavaScript web development environment.

·         Development experience with current web standards, including HTML5 and CSS3.

·         Working experience with Spring framework.

·         Working experience of technical analysis and design using OO concepts and design patterns.
