Requirement: SQL developer
Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration: 12 Months
DESCRIPTION:
Job duties include the extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) of data into SQL Server databases using stored procedures, views, or functions for database migrations. Source data may be from other relational databases (Oracle or MySQL), MS Access databases, or MS Excel files. Perform ad hoc queries of structured and non-structured (XML) data within an application environment.
The SQL developer will work with project managers, business owners, analyst teams and clients, build database prototypes to validate and fulfill ETL requirements. Other duties include document code, provide progress reports, and perform code review and peer feedback as well as assist in the development, troubleshooting, and tuning of T-SQL scripts.
Must be able to work in a time-critical environment and be decisive when faced with complex problems
Required Skills:
· Experience with large scale database design and development on the Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012/2014 platform
· Proficiency with T-SQL, especially cursors
· Must possess strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills with ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
· Ability to quickly understand new concepts/processes.
Desired Skills:
· 4+ years of experience with enterprise level database applications, 2+ years of recent experience administering SQL Server databases or applications
· Familiarity with the T-SQL for XML clause
· Oracle PL/SQL experience
· Exposure to cloud based database technologies is helpful
