Job Details:
Candidates must possess the below skill sets to be considered.
· Experience working as a QA lead in Oracle EBS suite (prefer R12) in the last 3-5 years.
· Experience working with QA tools to execute both manual and automated testing
· Knowledge on Oracle's AIM document templates.
· Good communication and documentation skills.
· Experience executing SIT and UAT test cycle as well as working closely with the business users.
· Familiarity with on-shore/off-shore model is a plus
· Familiarity working within SOX or JSOX environment is a plus
· Familiarity working with ADF extensions is a plus
Title: SQL Server DBA
Location: Columbia, SC
Duration: 12 Months
Rate: $55/hr on C2C all Inc
Job Description:
· Manages and maintains all production and non-production databases.
· Responsible for standards and design of physical data storage, maintenance, access and security administration.
· Performs backup and recovery on Database Management Systems, configures database parameters and prototype designs against logical data models, and defines data repository requirements, data dictionaries and warehousing requirements.
· This position optimizes database access and allocates/re-allocates database resources for optimum configuration, database performance and cost.
Scope of the project:
· Client supports in the neighborhood of 100 plus SQL Server databases and are in the process of migrating those databases from SQL Server 2008 to SQL Server 2012.
· In addition client is implementing high availability solutions on a number of the systems supported by these databases and increasing out use of reporting services and analysis services implemented in a number of support systems such as SharePoint, MS system center, team foundation server, and others.
· Client is also facing increasing security concerns around these assets.
· Client is also standing analysis and reporting services for its oracle data assets through oracle business intelligence.
· This engineer will be developing and presenting training to business users in the use of oracle bi solutions.
· Client is looking for assistance to support these initiatives.
· This is expected to be a long term, on site, assignment.
· Candidate will be working in a team environment consisting of 5 database engineers and administrators and working directly with application developers and server support team.
Responsibilities:
• SQL Server
o Setup and maintain data replication and mirroring
o Configure maintenance automation
o Backup and Recovery
o Troubleshoot SQL Server service performance issues as they occur, including after-hours and weekends
o Manage SQL Server monitoring utilities to minimize false alarms
o Install and configure new SQL Servers
o SQl Server Analysis Services
o Migrating Sql Server database to Sql Server 2012.
o Developing Reports using SSRS
• Oracle 11/12
o Develop Dashboard and reports using Oracle BI
o Develop and present end user training in Oracle BI
