Job Description:
The Project Manager (PRJM) is responsible for leading ESM projects. Typically, projects are part of an ESM program and roll up under a program of work for which the PRJM will report into. However, projects may exist independently, not affiliated with a program. PRJMs may lead one or more projects concurrently.
PMP certification is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
• Accountable to PRGM if supporting a program
• Accountable to project stakeholder if not affiliated with a program
• Develops and produces detailed project plans based on requirements
• Oversees and coordinates project team activities in accordance with the project plan
• Manages project lifecycle against base-lined Gate Review dates
• Tracks project progress against plan (resources, cost, timing, deliverables)
• Provide day to day management, monitoring, and control of project activities
• Provides approval and oversight of all project dates & milestones before they are base-lined and published
• Provides key artifact and deliverable status, tracking and reporting
• Holds project team accountable for artifacts and deliverables
• Manages at task level
• Set expectations – deliver what is committed, and reset expectations when required
• Ensures delivery of business requirements according to plan
• Ensure completion of project deliverable-based milestones
• Manage project budget, project resources, and achievement of project benefits
• Adheres to the processes, procedures, standards and policies
• Apply disciplined project management tools, techniques, and methods
• Communicate to project sponsors and other stakeholders
• Identify and resolve project issues/risks and escalate as required
• Communicate with project managers on related initiatives to facilitate integration
• Represent the Project on stakeholder and sponsor meetings
