Required:
•5+ years minimum experience supporting VMware vSphere in an enterprise environment.
•Experience installing configuring VMware servers including host based Network and Storage components
•VMware certified (v5 or above)
•Experience with VMware SRM (Install, Config, Failover)
•Scripting for task automation
•Has used Service Management procedures for Incident, Change, Request tickets
•Document Processes, Procedures, Root Cause Analysis (when required)
Optional:
•Experience with setting up any cloud based virtual environment
•Experience with Data Center moves (Virtual)
•Experience with vCops and/or vRealize automation tools
Day-to-Day:
Provide on-site support to an Enterprise level environment.
Will be responsible for installing, configuration, monitoring, troubleshoot, performance tune, VMware clusters hosting petro-technical applications and databases.
Will help to continue to standardize upon VMware best practices and report directly to the Virtualization Architect/Team Lead. Flexibility with On-call rotation is expected. (~once every 3-4 weeks).
