My client has an opening for a Performance Test Engineer in Rochester, NY

contract position funded through the end of the year. 

Start date of 3/1 required for budget reasons

Communication skills must be a 10/10 and the candidate must have a strong work history with good longevity on previous projects.

Does not need 4 years of US experience on these

Job Description

Required:

•        BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
•        3+ years' experience in IT functional and performance testing

Experience with automated testing tools

Experience with the following skill sets:
- testing applications on Windows and Unix/Linux platforms
- testing multi-tiered and distributed applications
- programming languages such as C++, Java, C, .Net, Delphi, Visual Studio
- shell scripting languages such as Perl, Bash
- web servers IIS, SunOne
- servers such as BEA Weblogic, Microsoft .Net, Jboss
- databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, Informix
- have used automated test tools like: Mercury LoadRunner, WinRunner, Quicktest Pro.
- database or application tuning experience a plus
