Title : Lead QA Automation Engineer

Description

This highly technical Senior Quality Engineer will work with a team of Quality and Automation engineers both on and off shore. This team is accountable for performing testing and Quality assurance, and tool chain automation. This role will partner with the application teams to build and deliver against the testing, continuous delivery and release strategies focused on moving to a fully automated DEVOPS model.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•        Drive Testing Automation Efforts across all of IMDP, including Registered Card (RC) and Digital Partnership (DPD), as well as other platforms within IMDP.  This includes owning and implementing tool chain automation and DevOps.

•        Lead Agile transformation for testing and driving continuous delivery

•        Drive robust testing management team with ownership of all aspects of testing, including:

◦          Test planning, creation of test cases,

◦          Environment setups, planning, coordination,

◦          Test execution and reporting quality assurance metrics such as defect, defect counts, test results, and test status

◦          Test tool maintenance

◦          Defect resolution; coordinating with engineers in order to prevent, report and resolve

•        Work closely with Development teams to bring in Test Driven Development into our Sprint Cycles. 

•        Work closely with our Production Support team to loop back with testing/development for any production issues encountered.

•        Provide guidance and subject matter expertise to engineers on testing and Quality Assurance (QA) methodologies and processes

•        Work to drive improvements in code quality via manual and automated testing

•        Drive team responsible for managing the definition, implementation, and integration of quality principles into the design and development of software and IT processes

•        Improve quality, reduce time to market and refocus teams to support delivery of business features utilizing Agile methodology

•        Identify and drives opportunities to adopt innovative technologies

Qualifications

This high energy SrQuality Engineer must have:

•        Must be able to follow through on multiple concurrent initiatives; and work independently when necessary.

•        Experience with Agile, other rapid application development methods, and Waterfall SDLC

•        Solid experience in test-driven development, unit testing, functional testing, system integration testing, regression testing, GUI testing, web service testing, and browser compatibility testing

•        Experience in working with testing automation tools like HP Load Runner, HP Quality Test Professional, HP Quality Center, open source tools Selenium (Selenium IDE, Selenium RC, Selenium Web Driver), JUnit, JMeter,Eclipse, and preparation of automation test framework, Optim

•        Requires experience proven technical experience with modern development frameworks, continuous integration/continuous delivery tool chains, and the full software development lifecycle

•        Strong written and verbal communication skills

•        Strong leadership skills & ability to collaborate across development portfolios to drive results.

•        Ability to think abstractly and deal with ambiguous/under-defined problems

•        Experience with delivering high availability/high performance secure applications supporting large traffic volumes

•        Demonstrated ability to debate ideas/strategy, comfortable managing constructive conflict, and not afraid to challenge the status quo
